Ma Zhengsheng, General Manager of Shanghai Jiecon Chemicals  Hi-Tech Co., Ltd., an alumnus with master’s and doctoral degrees from Donghua University, and Vice President of the college’s Alumni Association, was invited back to his alma mater to attend this significant event. During the ceremony, a solemn ritual was held where college leaders presented Ma Zhengsheng with a donation certificate and appointed him as an external career mentor. At the same time, he emphasized long-term commitment—chemical research and industrialization require persistent refinement and accumulation. Using Jiecon’s over two-decade-long continuous optimization of anti-mite and antibacterial products as an example, he illustrated the power of dedication and perseverance, expressing hope that young students would achieve academic excellence and give back to their alma mater in the future.

Ma Zhengsheng enrolled at Donghua University in 1994 to pursue his master’s and doctoral degrees, dedicating nearly three decades to the field of textile functional materials. As the leader of Shanghai Jiecon, he has guided the company to focus on the research, development, and industrial application of functional additives and fibers with antibacterial, anti-mite, anti-mold, and antiviral properties, successfully transforming laboratory technologies into practical solutions widely used in apparel, home textiles, household goods, furniture, and other essential consumer sectors.
