On September 1st, 2025, the second annual general meeting of the Shanghai Antimicrobial Functional New Materials Professional Committee (hereinafter referred to as the "Committee") was grandly launched and successfully concluded at the Shanghai Zhonghuan International Hotel. This grand event attracted the active participation of numerous leading units and researchinstitutions in the industry. Well-known enterprises such as Shanghai Jiecon Chemicals Hi-Tech Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Jialingjie Textile Co., Ltd., as well as representatives from prestigious universities and research institutions like Donghua University and the Shanghai Institute of Silicate of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, totaling over 60 member units, gathered together to celebrate this event.  

 The meeting was personally chaired by Ma Zhengsheng, the first president of the special committee. With his profound industry experience and outstanding leadership skills, he guided the conference to proceed smoothly. 

 The secretary-general of the Shanghai New Materials Association attended the meeting and delivered a speech. He first warmly congratulated the successful convening of the second membership meeting of the Antibacterial Functional Materials Special Committee, and sincerely congratulated and highly recognized Ma Zhengsheng's re-election as the director of the special committee. The secretary-general fully affirmed the remarkable achievements made by the special committee over the past four years in promoting the research and development of antibacterial materials, facilitating cross-border exchanges and cooperation, and assisting in industrial upgrading. 

    Regarding the new steering committee, the secretary-general put forward four expectations: First, innovate the working mechanism, keep up with the latest industry trends, especially deepen the research on the integration of AI and antibacterial materials, and concentrate efforts to overcome key "critical" technical challenges. Second, expand application scenarios, break through the limitations of traditional textile fields, extend to multiple scenarios, strengthen collaborative innovation among industry, academia, research and application, and deepen cross-border cooperation. Third, focus on new product development and application, accelerate the establishment of product and application standard systems, form a collaborative innovation synergy, and enhance the core competitiveness of member enterprises. Fourth, strengthen the construction of the industrial chain and ecosystem, empower the industry development through frequent exchanges and visits, empower the strength of the steering committee in practice, and expand the industry's influence and discourse power. 

At the meeting, the secretary-general of the association, He Koubao, presented certificates to the newly elected director of the specialized committee - Shanghai Jiecon Chemicals Hi- Tech Co., Ltd., and issued appointment letters to the secretary-general of the specialized committee, Zhao Liandong, the deputy secretary-general, Wang Junli, and Yu Wenxiu. The new director of the specialized committee, Ma Zhengsheng, on behalf of the second specialized committee, expressed that the committee would uphold the spirit of "being bold in taking the lead and adhering to innovation", and build the specialized committee into an engine for promoting the high-quality development of antibacterial functional new materials. He also proposed the following work plans: "We will fully leverage the connecting role and influence of the specialized committee, actively cooperate with the association to do the bridge work between government departments and enterprises, promote the standardization of products, build and connect the industrial loop of 'material research - commercialization implementation - large-scale production - application feedback - re-research', promote the implementation and transformation of high-quality scientific research projects of enterprises."      

The new director of the special committee, Ma Zhengsheng, on behalf of the second special committee, expressed that the committee will uphold the spirit of "taking the lead and adhering to innovation", and build the committee into an engine for promoting the high-quality development of antibacterial functional new materials. He also proposed the following work plans: "We will fully leverage the committee's connecting role and influence, actively cooperate with the association to do the bridge work between government departments and enterprises, promote the standardization of products, build and connect the industrial loop of 'material research - commercialization implementation - large-scale production - application feedback - re-research', promote the implementation and transformation of high-quality scientific research projects of enterprises." 

The atmosphere at the conference was extremely lively. A special seminar on innovative applications of functional and healthy textile new materials in 2025 was organized. This successfully broke through industry barriers and achieved a deep and productive cross-border collaboration, bringing forward cutting-edge insights and innovative ideas to the industry. 

The venue was fully occupied, and all the participants were filled with anticipation, their gazes firmly fixed on the podium. Professor Wang Hongzhi from East China University of Science and Technology and the vice president of Shanghai Institute of Electrical Engineering, in his presentation titled "Intelligent Fibers and Wearable Systems - Biomedical Exploration", used vivid and clear language, along with abundant and detailed data, to explain in an easy-to-understand manner the immense potential of intelligent fibers in the biomedical field. 

 Xie Wei, a senior product expert from Zhihuiya，in her report titled "Full-Chain AI Practice Empowering Quality Improvement and Efficiency Enhancement in Material Research and Development"， combined actual cases to elaborate in detail on how AI technology runs through the entire process of material research and development， injecting strong impetus into the industry's innovative development. 

  The report titled "The Principles and Detection Methods of Functional Textiles" presented by Ding Ruoyao, the technical director of Shanghai Textile Group Testing Standards Co., Ltd., is rigorous and professional. It comprehensively and deeply analyzes the microstructure and macroscopic properties of functional textiles, as well as the implementation principles and specific detection methods.  

Dr. Pan Deng, the director of the Shenzhen Qianhai Science and Technology Graphene New Technology Research Institute, delivered a report titled "New Graphene Antibacterial Resin-Based Materials and Their Applications", which focused on the current industry hotspots and provided a detailed introduction to the unique properties and broad application prospects of the new graphene antibacterial resin-based materials. 

Ma Zhengsheng, the general manager of Shanghai Jiecon Chemicals Hi-Tech Co., Ltd., took the stage. Dr. Ma has extensive industry experience. In his presentation titled "Development and Extensive Application Practice of Functional Health Materials", he shared the challenges and opportunities encountered during the development of functional health materials, as well as how to successfully apply these materials to actual production. The content of the report was rich and practical, providing valuable experience for the participants and earning rounds of applause from the audience. 

 The wonderful reports given by the five guests were like a feast of knowledge, and were warmly welcomed by the participants. At the end of the meeting, the secretary-general of the Shanghai New Materials Association, He Kuo-bao, personally presented honorary certificates to the speakers. He shook hands with each guest to express his congratulations, and the audience once again burst into enthusiastic applause, bringing the entire event to a climax. 

In addition, this conference also received strong support from Songjiang Economic and Technological Development Zone. During the meeting, Peng Mingdi, the general manager of Shanghai Dongkai Real Estate Co., Ltd., introduced the industrial layout, innovation ecosystem and policy advantages of Songjiang Economic and Technological Development Zone and Dongkai Real Estate Park, and stated that they would continue to provide policy support and service guarantees to ensure the solid foundation for technological transformation and industrial upgrading.
