Returning with Honors! Dr. Ma Zhengsheng of Jiecon Attends the 75th Anniversary Celebration of Donghua University's College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering

Carrying forward a legacy of 75 years, on October 18, the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Donghua University hosted a series of alumni events marking its 75th anniversary. Dr. Ma Zhengsheng, General Manager of Shanghai Jiecon Chemicals Hi-Tech Co., Ltd., attended the event as an alumnus, reuniting with fellow graduates to celebrate their shared alma mater and explore the future of industry development.

Event Schedule

In the morning, Dr. Ma Zhengsheng attended the Third Meeting of the First Council of the "Hua Hang · United for a New Journey" College Alumni Association as Vice President of the alumni association. The meeting was held in the Jiecon Conference Room on the fifth floor of the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering. At the meeting, Wu Peiyi, President of the Alumni Association and Dean of the College , delivered a speech; Yan Jun, Party Secretary of the school, reviewed the progress of alumni work and provided explanations regarding preparations for the council's reorganization, deliberation of the rotating leadership mechanism, and personnel nomination matters.

Following the meeting, a breakout session titled "Hua Hang · Liaison's Home" was held. Dr. Ma Zhengsheng engaged in in-depth discussions with Yan Xiaobin, Chairman of Huayun Holding Group, Yan Jun, Party Secretary of the College, and other guests. They exchanged ideas and shared experiences with alumni from various industries on topics including industry-academia-research collaboration and the development of alumni platforms.

 In the afternoon, the grand ceremony titled "Hua Hang: A Chapter of 75 Years" was held to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the department's establishment. At the event, the college presented Dr. Ma Zhengsheng with an appointment as an external career mentor and the "Contribution Award for Strengthening the Department," in recognition of his long-standing dedication to the development of his alma mater, his active promotion of industry-university collaboration, and his contributions to innovation through integrated research, education, and industry partnerships. 

Dr. Ma Zhengsheng then attended the "Hua Hang: Industry-Education Integration" event, where he delivered a keynote speech titled "Functional New Materials Require Integrated Innovation." Drawing on his over thirty years of experience in textile chemistry, chemical fiber research and development, and the industrialization of functional new materials, he shared insights into the current state of functional textile material development, as well as future directions and visions for product innovation.

For over two decades, Shanghai Jiecon has been deeply rooted in the field of functional textile new materials, consistently promoting close collaboration among industry, academia, and research. The company has achieved full industrial chain coverage in functional additives, masterbatches, fibers, and yarns—offering comprehensive solutions for antibacterial, anti-mite, antiviral, and deodorizing applications.
