Warm congratulations to Shanghai Yifan New Materials for successfully advancing to the finals of the 5th "Winning the Future" Yangtze River Delta G60 Sci-Tech Innovation Corridor Competition!

On June 23, the preliminary round of the 6th "Haiju Talent" Global Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition and the 5th "Winning the Future" Yangtze River Delta G60 Sci-Tech Corridor Technology and Industrial Innovation Competition concluded successfully. As one of the most influential top-tier innovation and entrepreneurship events in the Yangtze River Delta region, the competition brought together sci-tech enterprises, industrial investors, and industry experts from the nine cities along the G60 corridor to showcase their innovations. Focusing on the development of new-quality productive forces, the event covered six cutting-edge sectors: integrated circuits, biomedicine, artificial intelligence, green and low-carbon technologies, advanced equipment, and fashion consumption. After rigorous evaluation, Shanghai Yifan New Materials Co., Ltd. advanced to the finals with its project "Development of High-Efficiency Photocatalytic Antibacterial and Deodorizing Agent," thanks to its robust green new-material technology, comprehensive industrialization pathway, and broad market potential.

Roadshow venue
The roadshow was presented by Xiao Hui-sheng, Senior Engineer and Technical Director as well as Project Leader, who delivered a comprehensive report showcasing the team's core R&D achievements in photocatalytic antibacterial deodorants—developed over many years—and outlined their full-scenario application strategy and future growth prospects.

Core Technological Achievements
The photocatalytic antibacterial deodorant overcomes the technical limitation of traditional photocatalysts that rely on ultraviolet light, eliminating the need for additional light sources and enabling broader application scenarios. It integrates five core functions—antibacterial, antiviral, deodorizing, anti-allergic, and negative ion generation—meeting diverse environmental purification needs. The project holds the core authorized invention patent "Photocatalytic Deodorizing Catalyst, Its Preparation Method, and Applications," ensuring full self-reliance and control over key technologies.

Product Portfolio and Applications
The company has now developed two core products: photocatalytic textile finishing agents and photocatalytic functional masterbatches, which are widely applied in textiles and apparel, home textile products, automotive interiors, and other fields. The products have passed testing by multiple authoritative institutions including SGS, Guangwei Testing, Zhongguang Testing, and Japan's BOKEN, with excellent performance indicators across all parameters.
Prospects for Development
This project replaces traditional high-risk antibacterial and purification materials with photocatalytic technology, overcoming the critical challenges in the photocatalysis industry—low visible light efficiency and poor stability. It advances interdisciplinary progress in environmental materials and textile chemistry, supports the implementation of China's "dual carbon" strategy, and contributes to continuous improvement in environmental quality.
